Et voilà une nouvelle unité de réguliers pour grossir les rangs de l'armée du roi Georges : Des fusiliers du 15th régiment of Foot.

The Roger's Rangers : The end

Ca y est, je viens de terminer mes rangers ; Deux unités de sept irréguliers accompagnés par le major Roger.

Le black à la gauche du lieutenant se nomme Jacob, surnommé "The Duke" car il portait une chemise de soie blanche et des leggins bleu. Il fut affranchi par le major Roger qui en fit un de ses plus fidèles soldats (fait historique). Il se dit que lors d'une permission, Jacob qui fut capturé par les forces de l'ordre qui ne croyaient pas qu'il fut un homme libre. Le major Roger se préparait au raid de St Francis et refusait de partir sans Jacob. Il écuma les prisons jusqu'à retrouver son ami et le libérer.

Les figurines sont des Conquest miniatures et quelques Galloping Major.

15th Regiment of Foot

Here is my first regular troup for the English forces, a unit of the 15th regiment of foot, also known as the East Yorkshire Regiment. The soldiers wear the redcoat saratoga uniform as shown on the upper picture. The miniatures come from "Perry Miniatures" and the flags from "Flags of War"

The Mohawks, a post that is not going to please Roro

From the eastern Algonkian, "flesh eaters"; in their own language, Ganienkeh, "people of the place of the flint". Originally located along the Mohawk river wets of Schoharie Creek, the Mohawks belong to the Iroquoy Confederacy.
During the era of the French and indian War (also known as the Seven Years' War), Mohawks were allied to the British forces.
These figures come from "Conquest Miniatures" and are typical of the iroquois look : An european fabric shirt, leggings with no garters below the knee like the Hurons, breechclout, and moccasins. The body was usually painted or tattooed, and the hair shaven except for a tuft at the crown which had braided locks and feathers attached. Face paint was usually red.

Roger's Rangers

 Roger's rangers was initially a provincial company from the colony of New Hampshire, attached to the British army during the Seven years war. It was trained by the Major Robert Rogers as a rapidly deployable light infantry force tasked mainly with reconnaissance as well as conducting special operations against distant targets.

I use to clear some areas on my miniatures (like the skin) with the base color after the shading with the "quick shade".

Most of them wear some indian leggins or use tomahawks instead of the traditional knife.

 Note that there are various tones of green, to represent the fact that there is no official production for their clothes.
